This page is somewhat out of date but will be updated shortly after this year’s Woz Challenge Cup in Cologne, Germany.

All the teams presented here are currently ISPA Member Teams.

U.S. Teams

Silicon Valley Aftershocks

Silicon Valley Aftershocks

Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, this is the official name for the Bay Area SEG’s Segway HT Polo club. They are the longest playing team in the ISPA with their first match in July, 2004.


California Gold Rush

The Gold Rush has members from Sacramento to the S.F. Bay Area. They are the 2008 Woz Challenge Cup World Champions and have been playing together since 2007.

Polo Bears

The Polo Bears are another California team. They formed in 2008 to take part in the Woz Challenge Cup.

International Teams

New Zealand Pole Blacks

This team formed in December of 2005 and promptly challenged the Silicon Valley Aftershocks Segway HT Polo team to the first World Segway HT Polo Games of 2006 in Auckland, New Zealand on February 19th, 2006. They are located in Auckland, New Zealand.

Funky-Move Turtles

The Funky-Move Turtles are the first Segway Polo team from Germany. Their homebase is in the Cologne region. They are sponsored by http://funky-move.de an authorized Segway Dealer and famous Segway Customizer. Due to the distance they have to travel (150km) they practice one or two times a month.

Hemer Butterflies

The Hemer Butterflies are out of Hemer, Germany. They participated in their first Woz Challenge Cup in 2009 where they placed 2nd amoung European teams and 5th overall.

Solingen Blade Pirates

The Blade Pirates were founded in September of 2009 as the third team from Germany. They have placed second in the first official ISPA indoor tournament on January 3rd, 2010 in Hennef, Germany.
